Restorative Yoga - Offering a grounding experience with inspirational instruction and 75 minutes of space and time to gently stretch and relax the body in order to care for the mind as we create a space for being present and finding inspiration in the quieting of the mind. Finding stillness, holding long poses supported by props and assistance in relaxing poses, students will be encouraged to focus on calming the body and mind. We are so busy as a society, with more than 60,000 thoughts in our minds a day. Restorative Yoga is postures that “use props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease in order to facilitate health and relaxation”. This class is suitable for beginners and all levels. We use props such as blocks, bolsters, and blankets and encourage students to dress with layers and socks; pre-registration is encouraged, and mats are provided.
