It has been too long!

Well it has been too long since we have posted a blog post. And we have had a lot happen in a year +.

First, if you followed along on Facebook or Instagram, you saw that we are still actively serving our community with arts and craft drops, adding a blessing box that we put arts supplies (and other things) in, we have been giving out food from an angel who works for Kroger, and we have hosted a couple of pottery artists in our pottery studio as resident artists. We have also partnered with 4H to have a day camp for kids in our community. We have taught STEM, fine arts, and crafts, and the kids have loved it!

We have also been able to offer our space to families in our community for weddings, birthday parties, Mother’s Day events, baby showers, etc. This is one of the purposes we had intended for this space; a place for community residents to host their families for celebrations. And we have loved it!

We are able to offer this space because of these things:

  1. We have a young man who leases a small portion of our space to help subsidize our utilities.

  2. We have a few pottery artists who are “members” who utilize the pottery studio and help us subsidize our expenses.

  3. We have a handful of great donors who help us offset expenses like insurance and supplies.

But we do need more financial support. We can’t do it alone. Just click the DONATE button and choose a one-time donation or a recurring donation. Every $1 helps!

We continue to serve and provide for our neighbors. The virus didn’t stop us. Let us know if you would like to help.

Blessings,

John & Lisa Schmitz
